Privacy Policy

We use information to:

• Provide the daily fact, search, browsing by book, subjects, and other app features
• Show facts in one of our supported reading languages based on your language setting or device language
• Create and maintain accounts and sync saved favorites across signed-in devices
• Remember settings, selected subjects, and reading history on your device
• Record and count reactions on a fact
• Deliver notifications you choose to receive and keep Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets synchronized with your selected notification schedule
• Confirm subscription access and restore purchases
• Diagnose errors, protect the Service, and improve reliability and the accuracy of our sourcing
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

BibleFact does not ask for your religion, denomination, congregation, or beliefs, and we do not infer them. Choosing a subject such as manuscripts or archaeology, reacting to a fact, or saving a favorite is a reading preference used to order content in the app. We do not treat it as a statement of faith, we do not build a religious profile from it, and we do not use it for advertising.

BibleFact is designed to work without an account. Reading history, display preferences, and most settings remain on your device. If you sign in, favorites can be stored with your account so they are available on other signed-in devices.

On iOS, widget timeline content is cached in an App Group that is accessible only to BibleFact and its widget extension. This on-device cache is not used for advertising or tracking. If you add a Home Screen or Lock Screen widget, its displayed fact may be visible to anyone who can see that screen. You can remove the widget using the iOS customization controls.

Removing the app generally removes locally stored BibleFact data, subject to your device backup settings. Deleting your account removes the account and account-linked favorites, but it does not automatically cancel an active subscription.

BibleFact offers optional subscriptions through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Apple or Google processes the payment. We do not collect or store your payment card or bank account details.

We use RevenueCat to manage purchase status and subscription entitlements. RevenueCat may receive an app-specific customer identifier, product information, purchase status, and related transaction information from the app store.

We do not sell your personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information only as needed to operate BibleFact, including:

• With service providers that support hosting, authentication, database operations, crash reporting, performance monitoring, website analytics, push delivery, and subscription management
• With Apple or Google when you make or restore an in-app purchase
• When required by law, legal process, or a valid government request
• When reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, security, or safety of BibleFact, our users, or others
• As part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards

We retain account information and synced favorites while your account remains active, and for a limited period afterward when necessary for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or backup integrity. Notification schedules, including assigned fact identifiers and delivery times, and reaction, diagnostic, analytics, and purchase records are retained only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy or according to the applicable service provider rules. Setting notification frequency to Off in the app instructs our service to remove the future personalized schedule.

Information stored only on your device remains there until you clear it, delete the app, or your device removes it.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including encrypted network connections and access controls. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of certain personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can also:

• Delete your account and account-linked favorites from the app settings
• Clear reading history and locally saved content through the app
• Change your selected subjects and reading language at any time
• Disable notifications in BibleFact or your device settings
• Remove an iOS widget to stop facts from appearing on your Home Screen or Lock Screen
• Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple App Store or Google Play Store settings
• Contact us to ask a privacy question or submit a data request

BibleFact content is designed to be appropriate for a general audience, but we do not knowingly allow a child under 13 to create an account without permission from a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without appropriate consent, contact us so we can review and delete it.

BibleFact and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Those countries may have data protection laws that differ from the laws where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

BibleFact may link to source material, reference works, app stores, and other third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review those policies before providing information to a third party.

We may update this Privacy Policy as BibleFact changes or as required by law. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the date above. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice when required.
